• Drovers Inn Whisky Tour, Loch Lomond – Sealife, walks, boat rides, Charles Rennie MacKintosh & whisky safe to say this tour of this wonderful area from the hotel in Loch Lomond will fill your day with fun.
• Auchentoshan Whisky Tour, Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire – Try 4 of their triple distilled Single Malts, all have a unique taste ranging from 12 to 21 years. You can also take a tour of the Dalmuir based distillery owned by Morrison Bowmore Distillers.
• Glengoyne Whisky Tour, Dumgoyne, North Glasgow – Extremely unique and interesting tour perfect if you are looking for a tour from Glasgow, Glengoyne doesn’t use peat to treat their barley instead using warm air for a really unique taste which can only truly be experienced with a tour of their distillery.

Malaysian Group Whisky Tours of Islay

These distilleries above are a few alternatives to the extremely popular whisky tours in Islay and although they all very different from each other in their own way Islay has to rank number one in our opinion as an experienced tour operator awarded 5*’s on TripAdvisor for customer excellence in 2017. The distilleries on Islay we recommend if you don’t plan on seeing them all has to be tours of the famous distilleries Lagavulin and Laphroaig. They produce malts that range from the popular mainstream Lagavulin whisky a 16 years old single malt available from which is still a nice malt available in the supermarket for around £50.  Then you have the Laphroaig 1976 single malt available for around £2500 all available to you on a whisky tour of Islay.

Tour Lagavulin Whisky Distillery 

This distillery is based in the Lagavulin Bay part of the island, the stills here have a very particular look them and many have said they resemble a pear. Slowly processed and matured Lagavulin malts have a rich smokey and peaty flavour for a whisky you will taste! Enjoy a taster dram or two on your whisky tour with us like the group pictured.

Tour Laphroaig Whisky Distillery

Laphroaig is based in a really picturesque area on the south of Islay and is right next to Lagavulin. Its brand of whisky has an equally strong flavoured of malt, generally aged from 10 to 18 years. The group Malaysian group pictured and many others like them were on package tours with us which has a full itinerary and they mentioned the whisky tours and these two distilleries as a particular highlight when we got their feedback at the end of the tour.
