EDINBURGH – Head towards the iconic FORT ROAD AND RAIL BRIDGE which recently achieved World Heritage status at SOUTH QUEENSFERRY, stop off at South Queensferry ferry slip then onwards to DUNFERMLINE, visiting DUNFERMLINE ABBEY, the final resting place of ROBERT THE BRUCE and birthplace of CHARLES I, the last monarch born in Scotland. Next, you will be taken along the beautiful Fife coastal route visiting quaint fishing villages dating from the 10th and 11th century, stopping off at ANSTRUTHER for lunch. Then on to ST ANDREWS, the home of golf, this town boasts a castle, cathedral, ancient university, fabulous beaches and of course THE ROYAL AND ANCIENT GOLF CLUB. Then head homewards to EDINBURGH.
