Robert Burns, Scotland’s most famous poet and National Bard was born in Alloway, Ayrshire, home to The Robert Burns Birthplace Museum, which offers a truly unique insight in to Scotland’s favourite son.

Let Scottish Terrier Tours take you to this extensive museum, set in 10 acres of beautiful countryside which comprises of Burns Cottage where the famous poet was born, the iconic landmarks such as Brig O’Doon which inspired one of his greatest works, the poem Tam O’Shanter.

Afterwards visiting the elegant monument, gardens and modern museum which houses the world’s most important collection of his life and works including his writing set, pistols and a cast of his skull.

EDINBURGH Head along M8 towards GLASGOW, for HIGHLIGHTS TOUR then on to M77 towards AYR and CULZEAN CASTLE, where you will enjoy a few hours exploring the gardens, clifftop walks and the castle.

Afterwards you will head to BRIG O’ DOON HOTEL for lunch, then visit ALLOWAY AULD KIRK, scene of the witches dance in ROBERT BURNS poem TAM O’ SHANTER, then heading to ROBERT BURNS BIRTHPLACE AND MUSEUM, where you explore more about our National Bard’s life and works. Heading back home to EDINBURGH.
